Paper profiles

A paper profile is a voluntary environmental data sheet for all products provided by M-real. It serves as a guide for our customers and contains essential information regarding the composition of the product, key environmental parameters, environmental management and wood procurement. The selection and depiction of the information it contains comply with internationally uniform standards, thus making the data comparable.

The Paper Profile Initiative was launched in June 2001 for products which had already been awarded the Nordic Swan Label at this time. It is actively supported by nine leading pulp and paper manufacturers in Europe who have devoted themselves to the principles of sustainability.

Independently of the other manufacturers, M-real provides a supplementary sheet to the paper profile. It includes data on the transport of the raw materials and end products as well as information about the factory and recommendations for dealing with the product and its packaging after use.
